SAFARIARI
SAFARIARI is the 22 years old Norwegian Jon Kristian Furuheim. Jon Kristian also plays the keyboard in the band Remington Super 60. In Safariari, Jon Kristian plays the guitar and keys, and he for sure is a wizard in juggling those samples too. His twisted electronica, club pop/lounge/pop/pop-house have been well received. His first release was a lovely 7 inch -put out on Myke Droner in late 1999, and printed in 320 copies only. The 7 inch came immediately on heavy rotation in Marit Karlsen's "evening-session" show on NRK P3-National Radio, Norway. She called him a little genius and the greatest newcomer to the Norwegian el-pop scene. By then, Karlsen herself did not know that she was gonna set up and run Trust Me Records; the label of Safariari's debut album Zebra Knights- which is out now -almost two years after the remarkable 7 inch.
But before the debut album was released on Trust Me Records it was lo-fi- released on Cafe 2001 and Automatic Kiss Records.

The problem turned out to be that this version of the album was titled Save New York and it had the Manhattan skyline on the artwork. Save New York was released on September 10th.
He titled the CD "Save New York" due to a Commodore 64 game from 1983 that he used to play when Furuheim was a kid.
The album was taken back. Trust Me Records took over, made a few changes, re-mastered it and added a couple of songs and more.
