PINK ANVIL
Pink Anvil is a collaboration between Paul Barker and Max Brody. Barker may be familiar to many of you as "the one without the stetson in Ministry". Over the past 20 years or so, Ministry have released more albums than most people have fingers, the most recent being "Animositisomina". Barker has also been a member of many of Ministry's legions of side projects, most famously The Revolting Cocks, during this period he was known as Ion. He was also a member of 1000 Homo DJs. Brody is also a member of the Ministry touring band.
The two members of Pink Anvil live within whispering distance of each other in Austin, Texas. "It's funny. Sometimes I just feel like going outside, and I'll open the back door and there's Max standing right there..." says Barker. With this proximity, they don't really need a grand scheme to motivate them into writing and recording. "Our goal is to make music. Lots of it." Brody decides.

The band spent last summer recording in seclusion near the Mexican border. Barker and Brody recall some defining moments. "There's a really great shop in Juarez where you can get those floating glass balls, the hand blown ones, remember?" Barker asks. "Oh MY GOD, what a surprise THAT was, what great luck we had that day.... It was kind of like that place in San Francisco, what is the NAME of that place, oh god now it's going to kill me I can't remember!"
Pink Anvil are currently writing new material to be released sometime.
