Henry's defining guitar arrangements have been an integral part of well known indie bands Area and The Moon Seven Times. Area released four albums containing Henry's work (C'est La Mort/Rough Trade Records) and The Moon Seven Times (Third Mind Records & Roadrunner Records) have recorded two albums, both found on all seven continents (well, maybe not Antarctica.) Most recently he was tabbed by French artist/producer Hector Zazou to play on one of Zazou's international productions.
Lanterna, which was previously available in a mail-order-only cassette box, is now being released on CD by Champaign, Illinois' Parasol/MUD Records. Boasting a roster of artists that include releases by Suede Chain, Mother (a.k.a. Menthol, now with Capital,) Hardvark (Geffen), and Hum (RCA), Parasol/MUD Records has proven its ability to highlight emerging artists in the region. Bruce Licher of Independent Projects Press has designed special letter press packaging and promotional postcards for Lanterna.
Containing
17 listed tracks, the journey begins with "Silent Hills " and
continues through "Down By the Seine " (co-written with Lynn
Canfield) to other atmospheric soundscapes. The heavy "Turbine "
and five additional songs are co-written by M7x mate Brendan Gamble which
also feature his inventive drumming.
Rich in moody guitars and dreamy, thoughtful rhythms, Lanterna moves between
the tranquil and the phantasmagoric. An ideal soundtrack for a road movie
in slow motion.
