Texas born and bred, Kev Russell has spent a good part of his life playing as a member of various bands as well as assisting in the studio for Austin and international acts. One of the song writing forces behind the Gourds first 5 records, we here at Munich are proud to have Kevin's first solo project. Along for the ride are friends and family, including the debut performance of Guthrie Russell, Kevin's little boy. There's Mark Rubin from the band Bad Livers lending some tuba and double bass. Austin veteran Jon Dee Graham on lap steel and Amy Boone and Debra Kelly from Damnations Tx singing along, just to name a few. Although bandmates stop by to give a hand on occasion, the sound is pure Kevin that we've come to know and love, and then some. From the soulful laments to the footstomping joy that only a Gourd can conjure up.
