GOSSIP
The Gossip are from Searcy Arkansas but have relocated to Olympia, Washington - the birthplace of rock. They are young and sassy, but a lot more sophisticated than you might think, since they make it look so easy with their sly southern grace and youth. Kathi holds down the beat with her unique no-hi-hat style, Brace uses a different innovative tuning on every song, and Beth belts the vocals like nobody else - proudly fat & lesbian, brimming with positivity and revolutionary energy, as charming as all get out, everybody falls in love with Beth at first sight.
Recorded by John Goodmanson (Sleater-Kinney, Bikini Kill, Harvey Danger) in Seattle, this is the first Gossip album recorded in a proper studio with a proper producer. This is their fourth record and the second album. The band says this is the only record they've made so far that truly reflects who they are as a band and what they really sound like. They have left their simple blues roots behind them and now are as equally influenced by the "no-wave" fever that is sweeping the youth of the nation.



 

The Gossip are a hard-touring band and plan to continue to step it up, will spend most of the rest of the year touring to support this release.
